Heat Treating
Our combination of modern equipment and experienced personnel work together to provide the precise temperatures and the quick quench needed for controlled, effective heat treatment.
Alcast Company, through the use of three separate heat treatment systems, provides the following types of heat treatment:
T5 - low temperature artificial aging
T6 - high temperature heat treatment with solution quench, followed by low temperature artificial aging
The mechanical properties of the castings can be improved through proper casting design and our heat treatment processes. The properties listed below are standards from the Aluminum Association for A356:

The combination of our proprietary electro-magnetic, bottom-fill molding process and our heat treatment process will typically provide mechanical properties exceeding the above standards.
