On March 26, 2009, Stahl Specialty Company, Kingsville, MO, and Alcast Company, Peoria, Illinois, consummated a transaction resulting in an affiliation of the two companies and execution of a Strategic Alliance Agreement. The Strategic Alliance allows for technology sharing and resource sharing with Stahl Specialty Company’s leadership in tilt pour aluminum casting and horizontal machining with Alcast Company’s proprietary bottom fill, electro magnetic low pressure permanent mold aluminum casting and CNC turning. The resulting benefits to customers are unparalleled technical skill to tackle the most challenging applications, resource sharing for cost optimization, and combined financial strength to offer stability in an unprecedented environment of supply chain distress.

Founded in 1946, Stahl Specialty is a TS16949 aluminum foundry with over 550,000 square feet of manufacturing space with over 31 permanent mold and semi permanent mold cells, over 90 aluminum casting machines, over 40 horizontal CNC machining centers, 28 heat treat solution ovens with a proprietary internally designed process, design and build tooling facility with solidification modeling technology, Iso cure and Iso set core systems and aluminum alloy metallurgical expertise. Founded in 1970, Alcast Company is a TS16949 aluminum foundry with over 110,000 square feet of manufacturing space with 18 proprietary, bottom fill, electro magnetic permanent / semi permanent molding machines, nine proprietary core machines, six CNC lathes, five vertical machining centers, balancing, broach, and shaping machinery. The company produces very high integrity casting applications using its proprietary machines, which are constructed and maintained internally and provide a low cost structure for its customers in the agriculture, heavy truck, construction, marine, recreational vehicle, and lawn and garden aluminum casting markets.

As of January of 2010 Alcast Company is no longer affiliated with Stahl Specialty Company. Instead we are now affiliated with Aluminum Castings Corp a sand mold aluminum foundry in Galesburg IL. and Alcast Company Midwest Works LLC (formerly FALCO), an aluminum sand and permanent mold foundry in Fairfield IA.
