This 3.75 lb aluminum casting made in our aluminum foundry is an example of a valve body end cap used in hydrostatic transmissions for the lawn and garden equipment market. This aluminum end cap casting is made using a four piece shell core assembly to produce more complex internal passage ways, and reduce the amount of machining needed for a finished product, thus reducing the overall cost of the hydrostatic transmission. The cores are made from resin coated sand, using our shell core process, which delivers superior surface finish.
